Cake Batter Milkshakes for the Birthday Girl

Cake Batter Milkshake

I found this recipe for Cake Batter Milkshakes a couple of months ago on Cooking Classy.  I cannot say enough good things about this blog.  Every recipe of hers that I have tried is amazing and her pictures are stunning.  I love her presentation of the milkshake as much as I do the milkshake itself.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make it for my daughter’s 19th birthday, which is today.

The colors around the rim of the glass immediately reminded me of Jessica.  She is all girl.  I love that about her.

Cake Batter Milkshakes

  • 2 c vanilla ice cream
  • 1 c milk
  • 1/2 c dry white cake batter (from a box mix)
  • sprinkles
  • corn syrup
  1. Line rim of glass with a thin layer of corn syrup (plastic glasses do not work as the sprinkles won’t stick).
  2. Place rim upside down in a bowl of sprinkles.
  3. Let set while you make the milkshakes.
  4. Pour ice cream, milk, and cake batter powder into a blender.  Blend until well mixed.
  5. Pour into glasses and enjoy.  Makes approximately 2 milkshakes.
